Church Puzzle Blocks

A friend of ours had these really cool blocks with pictures of prophets and such on them. Devin and I thought they were pretty spiffy. I am always looking around for things the kids can do at church and I thought this would be fun. So I made my own set. Here is how they turned out.
But what are they do you ask? Well, you put the blocks together and it forms one big block with pictures on each side. This is the Temple picture side. We have a bunch of different Temple pictures and even one of our family at the Temple. (Sorry you can't see all the pictures at once, but there are pictures on all 6 sides.)
Once you do that, then you just flip all the blocks around and you have another set of pictures. These are the prophets and Jesus pictures.
I took a block out so you could see that the Temple pictures are all hiding inside.
To make these I used 2" square blocks that I got at Michaels. I then found (well my mom did) 5x7 pictures at the Distribution center. You could probably just find the pictures online and print them off if you wanted to. I cut them down to 4x4 and glued them on with modge podge. It was kind of tricky gluing them on because you had to make sure all the pictures stayed in the right spot. But it wasn't too bad and was actually kind of fun. Thanks again Kelli for this super fun idea! We enjoy playing with these just as much as Amy does.

I just made some at my mops group!! Only we just used photos, and only 4 blocks (well 6 if you had the right size pictures). That's so fun!! My kids love them too. Since there are 6 sides, I did one of each kid, and a family and a kids together picture. These are so fun! Leave it to you to add a spiritual element. how fun!
