Collage Walls

As you all know, we recently got new family pictures taken. I was so excited to get them hung up on the wall. The last pictures on our wall were from our wedding so we were a little out of date. These are much better. So here is our family collage wall.
The big middle picture is printed on canvas. I love how it turned out although Devin thinks it's a little big. But I think it's fun. Here is how it looks in the room.
I can't wait to get our curtains up and then our main living room will be done. Woo hoo! Here is what I have hanging up in our room. We haven't had anything above our bed for a long time because I could never figure out what to put up there. Well, I ran across this idea and fell in love. Here is my version.I used the new pictures we just had taken. The frames I got at Family Dollar. They were only $6 a piece. I wouldn't have even been able to buy 1 frame with a 40% off coupon for that much at Michaels. I just had to spray paint them and they were good to go. Don't we have cute kids?
This is what I have hanging up in the kids room. Now that we have new pictures taken I am going to put some of the kids together in the row of 3 pictures. I just haven't printed them off yet.
To hang these collages on the wall, I laid out a piece of wrapping paper and put all the frames on top just where I wanted them. Then I traced along the top edge of all the frames. Then I marked on the paper where I needed to put the nail so it would hang right. Then I just taped the big wrapping paper piece up on the wall and nailed my holes over my marks. It worked out great because I only had to nail each hole once and I was able to situate the paper to make sure the pictures would end up in the right spot. It was great. I even kept the paper so when we move I can use it again.

Anyway, those are some of the collage walls I have been working on in our home. I am pretty happy with how they all turned out. It's fun getting stuff done.

I love it! And I'm a fan of the big family picture (if you didn't notice in our house :) It looks really good! And yes you have such cute kids! I've been wanting to do the sillhouette picture thing with my kids, but what if you don't have photoshop?
