Grandma's Quilt

My Grandma Ruth started a bunch of baby blankets for her grandkids before she died. My mom inherited them and has given them to some of her grandkids. The quilt was unfinished, so we finished it up today. So now our little Amy will have a special quilt from her Great-Grandma Ruth.My mom also taught me an easy way to bind a quilt. Here is a close up view of the cute zig-zag stitch that we did to doll up the edging a little bit. I think it turned out pretty cute.

It will be so nice for Amy to have something made by her great-grandma. I'm sure she is up there with her now, wishing her luck. Maybe that is why she is taking so long to get here, she is having so much fun that she doesn't want to leave. :)
