In honor of the million or so people I know having babies, I have decided to post about one of my favorite baby shower gift ideas - diaper cakes! I just think they are such a fun way to give a very practical gift. Over the last year or so I have seen some really amazing diaper cakes. Seriously they are so cute! So here are a few of my favorites.
This one is made out of cloth diapers, but you could use disposable diapers as well. I love the monkey. It's such a fun little boy diaper cake.
I love how this one is wrapped with receiving blankets so you can't see the diapers. And they were very creative with the baby socks.
I thought the stuffed animal on top of this one was so cute too. I really like how they have tied on some of their favorite baby things.
The fun thing about a diaper cake is that it is really like a cake. There are so many ways to "decorate" one. For a great diaper cake tutorial click here. Hopefully the next one I try to create will look a little more like a cake and not so much like a landfill.

What a good idea! Diapers are such a great gift and that is such a creative way to give them, cute too. I think I might try one the next time I have to give a baby shower gift.
