Project of the Month - Book Covers

In honor of back to school, I decided to have this month's project be some super cute book covers. There are a million out there and you can pretty much cover whatever you want. But here are a few of my favorites. (Just click on the name for the tutorials.)

The Bookkeeper
This one is great for keeping that library book safe in your purse, or even keeping your planner in. I am going to make one for me to throw in my purse. It'll keep my planner, doodle paper, and other things safe. You can change it up a little and not do the patchwork design if you want something more simple, change the dimensions so that it can accommodate bigger books, make it longer so that you can have two pockets, or add a strap and it would be a super cute scripture case perfect for your child to carry around their pint sized scriptures. I am going to add a magnet clasp to mine so that it'll stay closed.

The Binder Cover
This one will be perfect to doll up those boring plastic white binders. The best part is that you can totally personalize it. And I love that there are so many pockets inside. I think I might have to make one of these to cover my YW binder.

The Notepad Cover

Those yucky little yellow notepads are ideal for keeping all your ideas on, but not so easy on the eyes. This notepad cover is a great way to fix that problem! This pattern is for purchase, but I am sure with a little time you lovely ladies could probably figure out how to make it all on your own. This would be a great gift for a favorite teacher or a fun camp journal.

Anyway, those are the project choices this month. Hopefully there is something here that will tickle your fancy. Happy Sewing!
