"Buggy For You" Quiet Book

I have a favorite seller on etsy. Well, a few of them. But this particular one is called copycrafts. You can also find them on youcanmakethis.com. They have the cutest quiet books, felt flannel boards, and felt play set patterns. I am not even going to tell you how many of their patterns I own. I have made their flannel boards and a lot of their felt sets and Amy loves them. I just finished up "Noah's Ark" and "Hit the Road" for her birthday. However, this was the first quiet book that I have done but am really happy with how it turned out. Since Amy has been on a bug kick recently, I decided to make her the bug themed quiet book first. But they have so many other ones that I love I really can't decide what to do next.
Here are the pages inside.
Amy really likes this book, especially the catepillar page. I really like how there are things to do on most of the pages. They have some quiet books designed for older kids (monster, games, doll house) and some for younger so it is very versatile. I made it for us to take on the plane to Utah and just haven't posted it yet. I would definitely make another one of these. Just take it a step at a time and you won't feel so overwhelmed. I did all my cutting first and then all my gluing (Tip: Use the spray adhesive not the other glue. It will save you tons of time and is much easier.) Once everything was glued I sewed it all together. It wasn't bad at all. As soon as I can figure out which one to do next I am going to make another one. You should too. They are so fun!

I've followed your blog for a while, but never commented. I love your collection of tutes and long to have the time to make even a fraction of them :) I found these quiet book patterns on Etsy and loved them, but was a bit intimidated. Can you guess at about how much time it took you? I've got basic sewing skills, but was scared of all the little pieces, etc....Thanks!

I'm not sure what to tell you about how long it took. I took one night and cut out all the pieces. Then I kind of left it for a few months before I decided to finish it. Then I glued everything on the pages and then sewed. I worked on it for a few days off and on. The sewing isn't too terrible if you take it slow. Felt is very forgiving.
