Easter Dress

Originally I wasn't planning on making Amy an Easter dress. But I was going through my fabric stash and found this yellow butterfly that was screaming to be made up into a dress for Amy. So last night after the kids went down I got to work. It only took a few hours and it turned out so cute. I love it. Amy does too. She wanted to wear it all day today.

I used the top part of the Stella Dress from Izzy and Ivy and then just changed the skirt up a bit. There is a later of tulle in there to make it extra poofy. Here is a link to the pattern I used. This pattern is awesome. It's fits perfectly and I didn't have to change any measurements. It also goes together really quick and is very versatile. A must have pattern in my opinion.

Anyway, I had fun sewing Amy this new dress. The best part is that she loves it too. When I told her I made it for her she said, "you're a great mommy." Ahh, thanks Amy. :)

Cute dress on a cute girl! I love the bow. Ohh, one day I will get ambitious and do matching ones for my girls (I hope!) Love it.
