New Dresses

My sister is up in Pittsburgh this week for Market and we are going to join her for dinner on Saturday. Since she hasn't seen Amy since early January, I wanted to doll her all up for the special occasion. I was looking on one of my favorite websites (youcanmakethis.com) to get some ideas of what to make. And as usual, I ran across a few fun patterns.

The first one is a Pixie T-shirt Dress. Basically the skirt is just two squares with a circle cut out of the middle. Then you sew it onto the bottom of a shirt. Simple huh? The super cute strawberry applique was inspired by this awesome etsy shop. They have some really cute stuff! Anyway, here is my rendition of the Pixie T-shirt Dress.
The flower was inspired by this shop. She has some really creative ideas. From the above picture I'm not sure how much Amy likes it, but I think it is super cute! I also made a jumper out of a skirt that Amber gave to me. I wish I would have taken a before shot. Oh well, maybe I will remember next time. Here is the after shot.
And the back.
I used this pattern for the dress and this one for the ties. I like how these ties are adjustable. I will be able to tighten and loosen them as she grows. So those are a few of the new things I have made. Now the hard part, deciding which one to have Amy wear!
