Project of the Month - Trick or Treat Bags

So I wanted to make Amy her very first Halloween trick-or-treat bag this year. I have looked around online for a pattern that I really loved. I found a few but they are not really supposed to be for Halloween. Oops.

This first one is called the Hobo Lunchbag. I just thought it was so cute. You could make it out of fun Halloween fabric, or even something that matched their costume. I would probably make the ties a little longer so it would be eaiser to get the candy in. I was going to make the hobo lunchbag for Amy until I found this next pattern. It is an Easter Basket. I just love those bunny ears. Once again this could easily be converted to a pumpkin, ghost, frankenstein, add some hair in the top seam and you have a witch, etc. This one just might be the winner. It's the perfect size for my little trick-or-treater.
**If you can't find the book she used, you could follow this storage cube tutorial or this fabric bucket tutorial to help you make the base. For a different variation on this bag click here.**

And if you have an older child that gets lots of candy, you might want to make this Halloween loot bag. It is a good shape, easy to store, and will hold tons of candy.
So there you have it. My top 3 picks for Halloween Trick or Treat bags. Hopefully one of them will work for you. Happy Halloween!
