Card Keeper

So I ran across this super cute notebook awhile back. And tonight my crafty buddy Suzanne taught me how to make it. (I didn't know there was a link on this post for the tutorial. Oops.) Either way, I was so glad to finally know how to do it. Isn't it beautiful?
Here is the inside.
This "Card Keeper" can be used for so many things. Here are a few ideas:

*Use this as a place to keep track of birthdays, anniversaries, etc. and keep the cards in there so they will be ready to send when the big day arrives.

*Use it as a recipe holder. Better yet, make a holiday recipe book. Do each page out of fun holiday paper and put in your favorite recipes for Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthday meals, etc. That way when the big holiday rolls around you will have all your favorite recipes all in one place. Brilliant!

*Super great wedding gift. Just fill the pockets with gift cards, movie passes, etc. that they can use each month and give it to the happy couple. What a perfect date book! That way they will have a gift that lasts all year long. Obviously this might be expensive for just one person to pull off, so have a bunch of friends go in on this gift and it'll be the favorite for sure!

*This next idea came from my mother. A lady she knows told her about it. It is kind of like the previous gift, but give it to your husband for Christmas. For each month fill it up with gift cards, concert tickets, homemade coupons (back rub, candlelight dinner at home, watch your favorite movie, make homemade cookies, round of golf, etc.), and anything else that your husband might enjoy. That way when date night rolls around you will already have it planned out for the whole year! Then the next year for Christmas all you would have to do is fill it up again with more goodies. The husband who received this gift loved it and couldn't wait to get it again the next year. I might have to try this one. :)

Anyway, I hope you have enjoyed this idea. I am definitely going to make one of these for sure! I might even make more than one now that I have thought of more uses for it. Let me know if you think of any others. :)
