Jewelry Holder
While I was in Utah I got to go see all of my families new homes. All 3 of my siblings moved this last year. So it was fun to see them and get new ideas. At my sister Lauralee's house she had a wall in her bedroom covered in frames with wire netting in them. She used them to display all of her jewelry. I thought it was really cool. She makes most of her jewelry so it was a great way to display her "works of art". I decided I needed to make me some too. So here are mine.
I just found some frames, painted them black, and stapled some chicken fencing wire to the back. I found it in the garden center at Lowe's. It's actually called Galvanized Hardware Cloth and is 1/4" mesh. I like it because it is nice and sturdy and will hold all your heavy jewelry with no problem at all. Here is a close up of the wire netting:
And here are all my earrings:
and my necklaces (I hooked these on with little S hooks):
They are on a wall in my closet behind the door. Not the best place to put them but I didn't really have any other wall space. They are sure fun to look at and I am sure I will wear them more now that I can see them instead of having them in a box. If I get much more jewelry I might just have to make another one. Or I guess I could get rid of some jewelry - but who wants to do that. :)
