T-shirt Dress/Skirt
While looking around online, I ran across this super cute dress from Target. I loved it. I figured I probably had something at home I could use that would give me the same look. And I did. Imagine that. :) I cut up an old t-shirt and turned it into a skirt for Amy. I even added pockets on the side. For my version I used an elastic waist band instead of the shirring method. Either would work fine.
The nice thing about this skirt is that she can wear it with multiple shirts. And she can still wear her shirts seperate. So it's nice to have options instead of only being able to wear it one way.
And here she is all dolled up. This skirt she is wearing was supposed to be a dress for a little girl but I ended up not needing it. So it turned into a skirt for Amy. The nice thing about this is that it is really going to last her for awhile. She can wear it up high now but as she gets taller she can wear it on her waist. I think she looks super cute in it.
(This probably wouldn't be the best option for a crawling child. If your baby still crawls, I would recommend sewing it to the shirt instead of just using it as a skirt.) Anyway, that is my recent re-creation. Hopefully it will give you an idea of something you could revamp for your little girl. For the big girl version of this skirt, click here. I definitely want to try and make me one of these.
