Dresser Redo

Now that we are back in Morgantown and Devin is done working, I was able to commandeer him to finish a project of mine. Remember this beauty? Well, now it looks like this...

I had babysitting duty while Devin sanded, painted, and waxed away. It looks much better now. I am not in love with our table top decorations, but they will work for now. For some reason the tops of dressers are hard for me to accessorize.

I used this technique to repaint the knobs. It was super easy, and a great way to turn cheap wood knobs into something a little more flashy. I also found some fun wrapping paper and lined all our drawers. I know you can't really even see it once the drawers are all filled up, but it's fun. :)

I also finished a new dresser runner. It was easy to make and turned out pretty snazzy. Much better than just a cut up piece of fabric that I usually use. I figured this dresser was here to stay so I should invest the time in a nice runner.

And that is our new dresser. Not bad for a random find in the basement. Now if I could only find some night stands. That would be nice.
