A friend of mine has an animal blanket for one of her kids and it has turned out to be his absolute favorite thing ever. Derek got one from a co-worker of Devin's and he has loved it as well. So with my good friend Shilo's baby shower coming up, I decided to try my hand at making a matching set for her twins. Here is how they turned out.
The polka dot part is minky and the brown is silky. You could make your own animal heads, but I just cut the tops off some stuffed animals. It was easier. :) You can find the pattern here, although you could probably figure it out without one. For another variation you could make them like this...
