With Devin's pants out of the way, I was finally able to start making a dent in my giant stack of "fix it" clothing. So I started with all the bottoms. I hemmed 3 pairs of jeans and turned 2 of them into skinny jeans. I have one more pair of pants to fix because they are extra wide flare legs, but they were in the wash so I didn't get to them. But I was happy with fixing 3 pairs of jeans. Now I have more than 1 pair to wear. I found all of these pants for just $1 each, except for one pair that I paid $5 for. But they were NY&Co so I still think that is a pretty good deal.
I also fixed a few skirts. This one I got from my mom while we were back in Utah. I think my sister wore it at my wedding. However, it wasn't quite my style. Here is the before. WARNING: You need to ignore all the smudges and fingerprints all over my mirror. Amy likes to help me clean and hasn't quite gotten it down yet. :)

And here is the after. I ironed down the pleats really well and pinned them in place. Then I just stitched them down along the edge. Easy peasy and it gives it a whole new look. I love it now!

The pleats in the back I had to keep trying it on to make sure it would lay right. I had to let them out a little because it was too tight at first. But with a little finagling I made it work.
This one was originally $50 and I bought it for $3. It had a broken zipper and obviously wasn't the most modest thing. But I knew I could fix it into something fun. Here is the before.
And here is the after. Much better. I took the zipper out, cut the top off and hemmed it for a new waistband, then restitched the zipper back in. The broken part was down low, so I was able to reuse the zipper because my skirt didn't need to use all of the length. I also took the sides in a little since my hips were now in a new spot. It took a little bit of work, but I am happy with how it turned out.

And those are a few of my remakes. So for $11 and a few hours of my time I have 2 new skirts, 3 new jeans, and 1 pair of dress pants waiting to be fixed. Not bad huh. Now I need to go tackle my tops!

You are so talented! And holy cow girlie! You are looking amazing... I'm convinced that you hid a ball under your shirt all those months and a stork really did bring your new lil' guy!
I agree! I don't know how you guys look so good so fast after the little ones are born. I need your secrets:) I love seeing your projects. You really are such a do-er. I think I need to get a few ladies around me for moral support when I alter my things...which has to be soon! I'm getting tired of my shirts!
