Devin had an unexpected work trip come up today, and he wasn't going to be home until quite late tonight. So I decided to forgo getting ready for the day and instead I headed to the sewing room. I got my second stack of clothes altered before he unexpectedly came home early. That was a pleasant surprise. Here is what I did today.
These shirts were a little baggy and didn't fit well. So I just took in the side seams. On the purple one I had to take in the shoulder seam and I also took the sleeves in on the other two. Pretty quick fix and now they fit much better.

These two I just shortened the sleeves. They both had some decorative stuff on the bottom of the sleeves that I didn't like, so I just cut it off and hemmed them shorter. I also took the blue shirt in a little as it was kind of baggy.

The sleeves on the black jacket were like bell bottom sleeves, so I just straightened them out. I also shortened the sleeves on the white jacket. It was hard to move around in it with the longer sleeves so it is much more comfortable now.

There wasn't really anything wrong with these jackets but they were just enough off that they bugged me. So for the white one, all I did was move the button over so that when it was buttoned it fit in a little better. Super easy fix and much better than trying to take the sides in. Fits like a dream now. For the denim one, I added another button hole and button and also moved the bottom button over so it fit in a little better.

Here is a close up of the buttons I moved over. Seriously a super easy thing to do and it helped them to fit so much better. You should try it!

I also fixed my black pants that were in the wash last time I was altering. Now I have many more clothes to wear. It'll be nice. I need to work on those jackets I still have. But they are super fitted and super big so I have put them off. They might be tricky but they are going to be cute so I have to do it. :) I also have some jewelry I want to do. Oh the list is always so long. Will I ever feel caught up? But right now my next projects will be trying to finish up our house. I am going to get some pillows made, window valances, probably starch some fabric on a wall to make it look painted (unless I can convince my landlord to just let me paint it), etc. I am excited to get it all pulled together so that we can enjoy it while we are here. I want to get it all done soon so I can start working on Christmas presents. Woo hoo!
