This year I was going to make Derek a black cat costume to go along with Amy's witch outfit. But Devin thought it might be a little too girly of an outfit. So I made him a spider outfit instead. Much more manly. And I love how it turned out.

I used this out of print
pattern (sorry) for the body and
this pattern for the hat. It's the same one I used for the bird hat. The first one I made (pictured above) ended up being too small. The fabric I used didn't have much stretch. So I had to make another one a size bigger. I haven't transferred the eyeballs yet, but here is Derek in his spider costume.

A view from the top.

We decided for Devin that he could be a spider web. Pretty easy. I just took some black yarn and zig-zag stitched it onto a white shirt.

It goes perfectly with Derek's spider costume. How fun. :)

For me I decided to go along with Amy and be a witch. I just made a tiny witch hat for me to wear. It was the same pattern I used for Amy's hat but much smaller. Now I have to scrounge up some clothes that will work, but at least I have a hat.

And those are our Halloween costumes for this year. I can't wait to see what we all will be next year!
