Birthday Bash

Sorry for my blog absence of late. I had a baby, we moved, went on a month long vacation, are trying to get settled, and Devin told me I can't do any crafts until I get his suit pants tailored. So until I do that I won't be able to post anything. However, I did sneak a few birthday gifts in without him getting too mad. :)

Amy's little friend Rainie had her birthday just 5 days before Amy. She loves dolls and whenever she came over she would always put diapers on all of Amy's stuffed animals. So I decided to make her some felt diapers she could use instead. A little easier on the budget than her using real diapers. :)
Amy loved them so much that I had to make her her own set. I followed this tutorial. They are actually pretty fun to make.
I also made Amy a shirt that I have had the idea for awhile now. Here is how it turned out.
Cute huh. Can you see her name in there?
I just made the letters on PhotoShop and then printed it off on fabric transfer paper. Then I ironed it on and we were good to go. It was super easy. However, if I did it again, I would probably make a stencil out of freezer paper and then paint the letters on. It might look more professional. Oh well, it's just a kids shirt and she can get away with a few quirks on her clothes.

Anyway, I need to get busy on Devin's suit pants and then I can tackle my super long to do list. I have lots more house projects now that we moved and I have a bigger place to fix up. Should be fun!

Cute stuff! I need to take some of Jared's slacks up a little bit, but I'm SO nervous. I wish you were here to help me. We miss you guys!!! If you ever want to come visit, there is always an open invitation. We'd still love to babysit while you go to the temple if you ever decide you'd like to do that too. I hope you're doing well! Tell Devin hi!

That is the CUTEST idea!! Too bad Derek has 2 Es:) You have to help me figure out photoshop. I want to scrapbook on it, but it's very overwhelming:( Thanks for inspiring me!! Love that idea for diapers. Brooklyn loves using coles also.
