Surprise Christmas Projects

My mom is big into ornaments that have some meaning behind them. She has all kinds of ornaments all over her tree like a motorcycle, trumpet player, soccer player, etc. Each one with a little story or memory about them. So I saw this idea for little snowglobe tins and thought it would be so fun to make her some snowglobe ornaments of all her grandkids. And here is how they turned out:
I really want to make me some of these and put pictures of our kids in them. Right now we would only have one ornament, but through the years we would get more. They were easy to make and I think they look so beautiful on the tree.

For my mother-in-law I made a scrapbooked calender. I forgot to take a picture of it before I mailed it off (OOPS!) so you will just have to imagine how cute it was. I bought the kit online which made it so easy to make. I put pictures of all the grandkids inside so she will be able to look at them all year long. It was so easy and turned out so good that I might even have to make one for me. :)

I did end up making a Date Book for Devin. I used this idea to make it. I am really excited about it. Here is the front:
And all the pages inside:
I got it bound and put my date coupons in there. We can also keep track of important events on the calender. This will turn into a "re-gift" gift as I will fill it up with more date ideas next year.

I had my sister's family this year for Christmas. And so for her two girls I decided to make them aprons. They can pretty much use them for crafting, painting, cooking, etc. My friend Kim came up with the idea and they are so fun! They are made out of an old pair of jeans. They are even lined with a coordinating fabric. Kim also did the embroidery. Don't their names look beautiful?
I like the two side pockets I put on this one.
I even have one all ready to make Amy. She's a little small for one now, but she'll have one when she is big enough for it. Love these! And those were some of the gifts I made for Christmas this year.
