More Cardigans
So instead of Amy always wearing a shirt under her jumpers, I thought it would be a good idea to make her some cardigans that she could wear over them. Here is the first one I did. It's just a short white cardigan with a button snap at the top. I just followed a simple jacket pattern but cut it shorter and made a curve on the front piece instead of doing the traditional button closure. I finished the edges off with bias tape. I think it turned out pretty good and am excited to see it on her.
I got the idea for this next one from my sister. She introduced me to this new etsy shop with a bunch of cute patterns for really reasonable prices. I tried to recreate this Girly Cardigan Pattern. How did I do?
I think it would have turned out better if I had actually bought the pattern. Oh well, it's still cute on. :) I also figured out that you can get a different and equally cute look by tying the bow in the back. I love versatile clothing. :)
Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest. I know it's hard to get the real effect without a little body inside. But I can never get a good shot of Amy anymore. If the camera is out she wants to touch it. I'll try to post pictures of her in them if I can ever get a decent shot. In the meantime, I hope you guys can get the general idea of what I am trying to make. These cardigans really did turn out so cute and I am excited to have Amy start wearing them.
