You can click on the above link for the tutorial. But here is a brief rundown. You will buy a scarf that you want to ruffle. Then with elastic thread in your bobbin (you will hand wind the elastic thread onto your bobbin and set your stitch length to the longest stitch) you will stitch a line down each long side of your scarf. Then you will stitch 2-4 or more (depending on the width of your scarf and how ruffly you want it) lines equal distances apart in between the two long stitches you just finished. As you stitch the elastic will ruffle your scarf. Make sure you tie your end threads really good and that is it. Easy huh! For a longer ruffled scarf you could sew two scarves together and then do the ruffling.Anyway, hope you enjoy this project this month. It'll help us all stay nice and warm in this FREEZING January weather. Have fun!
