Valentine's Day Dress

Awhile ago I made this dress for Amy planning on having her wear it for Valentine's Day. The top part is actually the top of a skirt I no longer wore. I just cut it down to size so that it would fit around Amy. It is nice because it has a built in zipper. Woo hoo! The bottom pink stuff is also from another skirt. And I added the black ruffle to help tie it all together.
This was going to be Amy's V-day dress until I ran across this super cute idea which totally changed my mind. I took the top from this dress and the bottom from this dress and combined them to make this dress.

And I think this is the one that Amy will wear for Valentine's Day. Both of them will fit her for awhile so she will probably get to wear them next year too. Bonus! Hopefully she will look super cute in her hot pink lace dress. I think I might just have to make her another one, but this time I'll add some tulle!
