Dresses Galore
So the last few days I have caught the sewing bug. I just got busy and actually got quite a lot done. Here is the first dress I made. Thanks again Katie for letting me have some more of that bedskirt. I love this dress! Now Amy and Maddie need to get their pictures taken together in their matching clothes. :)
This next one I owe a big thank you to Amber. The color scheme was inspired by a quilt that we made for one of the expecting mothers out here. Amber let me have some of the extra fabric and this is how my creation turned out. I used this pattern and it won't be the last time I make a dress like this. I think it turned out super cute.
And since I am totally in the mood for Spring to come, I decided I would help it along by making an outfit for Amy out of some bright Spring colors. I made a reversible skirt (which I sewed about 4 times before I figured out how to get it to work right), a yo-yo flower clip, and I also did my first ever appliqued onesie. I stitched a little bit away from the edge so when I wash it the flower will fray a little.

Melanie all of your things look so cute!!!! I love all the clothes and bracelets and her quiet book turned out so cute. I want you to show me how you made the tags for the bracelets. Those turned out cute. You are so talented! love you
Your dress turned out great...and yes, we will have to take their pictures. And I absolutely love the striped dress. That is an adorable pattern.
All of your clothes are so cute! I really need to get some material and stuff to make clothes. Also, I was wondering where you got the pattern for Amy's baby blessing dress. I'm thinking about making one for Anna, but we'll see!
Hi Melanie! I'm friends with your cute sister Lauralee, and she told me to check out your craft blog. (Lauralee is completely responsible for me actually using my sewing machine on a regular basis, and for my addiction to sewing and fabric.) You have made the cutest things--I LOVE the reversible skirt and appliqued skirt! I can't believe how talented the girls in your family are! :)
Wow Mel, those look great!
