I have been wanting to make Amy a quiet book for church. It will help her learn fun things and it will also help her recognize her family back home who she doesn't get to see very often. But I have had a tough time trying to figure out how to actually make it. My sister-in-law had this awesome idea to put the pages in a little photobook so you could change them out. You can
click here to see her version. It turned out so cute. Here is how mine turned out.

There are a few pictures that need to be changed on these family pages. I haven't gotten pictures back from everyone yet, so I just tried to use what I had. Some of them are not the greatest, but I'll change them once I get the new pictures.

Notice the 3 ultrasounds? Amy is going to have 3 new cousins at the end of the summer. So we are anxiously awaiting their arrival so we can put their pictures on this page. She already has a new cousin who was born just a few weeks ago. There are going to be five cousins (4 girls and 1 boy) all in the same grade of school. How fun is that!

The temples pictured are the Logan Temple -where Devin and I got married, the Buenos Aires Argentina Temple - where Devin served his mission, and the Washington, D.C. Temple - the first temple Amy ever went to.

These last few pages were done with stickers that I found at Michael's.

This page has buttons and fabric swatches on it. I was going to make separate color and shape pages but then I thought, why not combine them? Now she can learn patterns as well. I just used spray adhesive to stick the fabric shapes to the page. Super easy.

These are 3-D stickers. They are shiny and so fun!

They had some really cool stickers for boys like bugs and tractors and all sorts of things. But since Amy is not a boy, I had to settle for this princess page. Hopefully she'll like it.

Anyway, that is my quiet book. There are still some pictures that need to be changed and I am sure I will add some more pages as I find more fun stickers. I already have an idea for an "All Girl" page. It would have shoes and clothes, purses, make-up, etc. But I haven't found the perfect stickers yet. But you get the general idea. Thanks again Val for the great idea. I really had so much fun making this. I hope Amy will enjoy it.

That turned out really cute! That is fun to see. She will love it.
I love all of your ideas! Keep them coming. Maybe I will be inspired to make a quiet book like yours someday (when my kids are my age maybe (JK)). I love the sidewalk chalk idea, and will have to try that for easter...Thanks for all the great things you are doing!
Wow, what a fun idea! I just need to read your blog to get ideas for my next projects! Any good ideas on a crib bumper? We're having a little girl in July.
