Bedskirt Clothes
My friend Katie called me and told me about some really cute bedskirts that she had found and wanted to make some fun clothes for our girls. We have to be creative out here since our fabric selection is minimal. So she came over today and we had some fun. Personally I think all of Katie's clothes turned out cuter than mine, but really they are all cute. So it's okay. We both tried shirring today for the first time. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but I think there is definitely room for improvement. Here is my shirt for Amy.
Katie made a dress for Maddie.
Then we used the other bedsheet and I made a skirt for Amy that will fit her in two years. Oops!
I love this one that Katie made. She is going to hook pink ribbon to the top so she can tie it on. So cute! I think it looks like a princess dress. I love this idea and will for sure make Amy a dress just like it.
Anyway, those are a few of the things we made today. We also spent a good deal of the time figuring and cutting out something that we are trying to recreate. But I'll have to make another post about that one once it is finished. It'll be pretty cool if it works out right. Thanks again Katie for coming over. I think the girls had fun playing together and I know I had fun sewing!
