My Re-creations

My mother-in-law gave Amy the cutest jumper for Christmas. I loved it so much that I tried to recreate it. So I traced out the jumper and made my own pattern. Here is how it turned out.I want to make her a torquoise bow, but I haven't found any matching ribbon yet. So the white one will just have to work. But I think her jumper turned out really cute and I am sure I will use that pattern again. It was fun to make.

This next creation is a pleated skirt. I got the idea for this skirt here. I tried to recreate it and here is how mine turned out.
It took a little finagling and figuring out but I did it. And I owe a big thank you to Sarah who gave me the idea to cut the skirt on the diagonal. It turned out super cute! I am so excited that I already have matching booties for this outfit. My mom made Amy a pair when she was here in September. But, just like the jumper, I still need to make a matching bow. I have all the ribbon but bows just intimidate me. I'm not very good at them yet. My last attempt was pretty much a disaster. So hopefully these ones won't turn out horribly wrong. Anyway, those are a few of my re-creations.

Those are cute. You are very good at just making stuff up :)

I am not sure exactly how much fabric I used for those pillow cases. I just measured one that your mom had made, then I added some seam allowances and cut it out. I will see if I can find my notes for how much to cut out. They must be somewhere :)
