Bibs

So Amy is a pretty messy eater. See Exhibit A.
The bibs we had for her were pretty small and just didn't get the job done. I remembered a bib my mom had used when we were little. It is a towel bib. So I called her up to get the instructions and made a few of my own. And let me tell you - they are my favorite! You just cut a circle in a hand towel so that there is 1/3 in the back and 2/3 in the front. Then use some ribbing (which is cut smaller than the circle), sew it around and you are done. You can click here for a slightly different variation of this bib. Here is Amy modeling it for me.
When I took a picture of the back she was so cute and even turned around so you could see her face. Silly girl.
They are pretty big and basically cover her whole body, but that is what we need! They are great because they can grow with the baby. She'll be able to use this bib for a very long time.
You could make them smaller by using a smaller sized towel or just cutting the towel down in size and then using bias tape to finish the edge.

I also found some other great sites for more traditions bibs. You can click here for one that snaps around the neck. I love how the edges are not symmetrical. It's very cool. You can click here for a bib with sleeves. This will be great when Amy starts feeding herself. Then I won't have to worry about her getting her shirt all dirty. I have both of these bibs cut out and ready to sew together. I just cut up a vinyl tablecloth. They will wipe up so easily. Now I just need to find a minute to sew them together.

I love those. I had one for Kaitlyn. I am glad you posted instructions! And here is a message from Kaitlyn:
