New Skirt

So I have been wearing the same skirt every Sunday for the last few months. I'm not really complaining because it is so nice to have a maternity skirt. I survived Amy's whole pregnancy without one. I was really missing out. They are so comfortable. However, I would like a little more variety. I had this amazing grey linen that I found for a steal of a deal and decided it would be perfect for my new skirt. I used this pattern. It wasn't a maternity pattern but I just sewed a big elastic panel on the top instead of a zipper and it worked perfectly. The pattern was super easy to follow and actually fits great. I didn't have to adjust the pattern at all. I love when I find patterns like that. Anyway, here is a picture of it. You can see the stretchy band.
And since it is kind of hard to tell what it looks like, I took some pictures of me in it. Just ignore the dirty mirror, lack of ironing, bad camera angles, and beautiful legs. Hey, it's the middle of winter. What can I do about it? Front view.
Side view. Do you like my baby bump? I'm 25 weeks but measuring at 27. Yikes!
And here is the back. I love the pleats. It gives it some personality.
I'm so excited to have my new skirt. I was nervous making it because it seems like most things I make for me end up turning out terrible. But this one isn't half bad. It'll expand my wardrobe so that is good too. All in all a very successful project. Yeah! I might have to make me another one "none-maternity style" once I have the baby.
