Storage Cubes

Amy's sock drawer has been driving me crazy! I have really wanted to organize it. Well, I finally decided to just sit down and do it. And with a little help from these amazing storage cubes, I got it done.

One giant mess...
Plus a few of these...
Equals this...
Ahhh, much better. Now I actually don't mind putting her tiny socks away because there is a place for them to go. These storage boxes were so fun to make. I think when I get a sewing room (some day) I will use them to organize all my shelves. You can put zippers, buttons, elastic, needles, etc. in them and stack them on a bookshelf. It will look nice and be super functional all at the same time. Brilliant.

Some other amazing storage things I have found are these fabric boxes. The lady who made these wanted to use hers as a gift basket. Cute! I also found this great tutorial for a bagsket, a bag and a basket in one. I love it! I think I want to make one to store my yarn in. That way if it toppled over the yarn wouldn't fall out. You could also use it for storing blocks, puzzles, little cars, pretty much whatever you wanted. But this project might have to wait, I want to get back to making cute little clothes for Amy. :)
