At our Relief Society activity in January, we were each supposed to bring our favorite organizational tips and ideas to share with everyone in the ward. Well, one lady had a great idea that I just had to copy. :) It was a jewelry pouch for when you travel. Brilliant. Why didn't I think of this? Here is my version.

You just open it up and fill it up with your jewelry. The little triangle sections are for your earrings, and the big open section in the middle you just throw in your bracelets and necklaces. You could also put your necklace in a smaller section if it was more delicate. But all mine are pretty chunky. :)

Here is another view of all my goodies inside.

It was pretty easy to make. I cut 2 - 14" circles and 2 - 9.5" circles. I sewed the smaller circles together first, flipped inside out, and attached it to one of the bigger circles. I stitched 4 dividing lines to make 8 pockets on the inner circle. I then sewed 4 button holes on the other outer circle so that I could put my ties through them. Next I stitched my two big circles together, turned them inside out, and stitched 2 lines all around the big circle to make an encasement for my ties. I sewed one on top of the button holes and one underneath. Then just thread your ties through (2 ties, one for each set of button holes) and you are done. Here are some pictures of it all laid out flat. Hopefully you can tell how it goes together.

The inside view.

It was a really easy project and pretty fun to make. I am glad to have this now. My jewelry was getting all tangled up in the sandwich bag I had been using. This will be much better.

What a nifty idea. I was really bummed to miss that activity. Looks great... now if I was only better at accessorizing I'd have to make it too!
That is really cute! What a great idea.
I have one of those! My aunt gave it to me when I was 10 or something like that. They are handy.
